Longitude 0°8’ Evolution
The Burlington Bar has experienced a complete rebirth, emerging from a major design update as Longitude 0°8'. This new London bar will provide three very different experiences during the course of the day defined by music, lighting and service.
During the day, Longitude 0°8' will become one of central London's preeminent destinations for premium coffee. Featuring our master barista trained by Illy Café at their coffee university in Trieste will lead a team that will expertly craft a broad range of specialty coffee drinks, perfect espressos and cappuccinos and will delight guests with their ability to create decorative flourishes with the foam atop their espresso drinks. Accompanying our coffee culture a unique chocolate experience will be provided by Godiva featuring a chocolate humidor stocked with premium artisanal chocolates, special coffee and chocolate pairings and pastries created with Godiva chocolate.
Once the work day comes to a close, Longitude 0°8' will be transformed into the area's most sophisticated venue for after-office and pre-dinner drinks. A broad menu of premium spirits and specialty cocktails will be available alongside a delicious array of complimentary tapas-style hors d'oeuvres prepared by Le Méridien's award winning culinary team. In the spirit of discovery, these delightful pre-dinner appetizers, served both warm and chilled, will stimulate the palate and provide a welcome epicurean experience to accompany a glass of wine or mixed drink.
After dinner, Longitude 0°8' will once again evolve to become a stylish destination bar known for its chic atmosphere, sophisticated clientele and selection of exotic cocktails. A well known mixologist has been commissioned to craft a range of signature recipes for Longitude 0°8' that emphasize unusual combinations, fresh ingredients and unexpected, exciting flavours. Once the sun goes down, the bar's distinctive design will truly achieve its best. Guests pass through a special entrance portal and enter a world of shimmering light, mirrored surfaces and rich textures. Intimate seating areas are separated by draped fabric providing privacy and mirrored surfaces that offer intriguing perspectives into other corners and nooks. Glowing cubes of light replace traditional tables and complement an intricate lighting plan that fills the space with texture and rich layers. Again the interplay between classic and contemporary defines the space, with the ornate original bar contrasting delightfully with the modern furnishings and fabrics to create an impression of opposites in harmony.
